Paying taxes (subscribing) is completely voluntary. Citizens are absolutely under no obligation to monetarily contribute in any way shape or form to ArtRemains. Taxes will primarily be used to cover operating costs.
Should there be any profit, at least half the profit will be reinvested back into ArtRemains and no less than 10% of the profit will be donated to organizations suggested by members of our citizen run Charity group.

ArtRemains takes transparency and accountability very seriously so monthly revenues and costs will be posted in the Budget forum. Taxes are $30 per year and should citizens choose to pay taxes their tax payer status will be good for 1 year. There is no automatic renewal and after that 1 year is over should tax payers decide to continue receiving tax payer benefits they will have to go through the tax paying process again.
The following is a list of additional public good that tax payers receive immediately after paying taxes:
1. tax payers do not view ads
2. tax payers have a weighted vote of 3 (instead of 1)
3. tax payers have the ability to create artwork, passport and forum polls
4. tax payers have the ability to upload files up to 10mb in size (instead of 3)
5. tax payers have the ability to view MCLs 7-10
After citizens pay taxes they will have up to one week to cancel their tax payment and receive full refund. After that one week period has passed no refunds will be issued.

If, after being a tax payer a citizen decides not to continue paying taxes, then any polls created by that citizen will not be removed nor will any files that are over 3mb in size be removed.
